Today Mrs Zelenska visited the beautiful Åland Islands in the Finnish Archipelago.

Ålands islands are an autonomous region of Finland, with its own government and Swedish as the official language. The islands are officially demilitarized and also known as “the islands of peace”

Åland islands have a population of approximately 30.000 people, and there are approximately 300-350 ukranians residing in the islands, making up 1% of the islands population.

The local government decided to honor this by donating €3M to Olena Zelenskas Foundation to be used for education purposes and to show the support to Ukraine.

  1. Between Finland and Sweden in the Baltic Sea. the moscovian navy would have to take a slight detour to get to them.

  2. The last picture is from Ukrainaplatsen (Ukraine Square) in front of the Russian consulate. People have been protesting there every day since February 2022 to oppose the illegal invasion.
