  1. 🤣 why would someone do this? i feel its something I would have a picture with while drunk

  2. Radiators mounted high is quite common in bathroom plumbing actually (excluding towel racks).

The reason is usually the space is quite limited inside bathrooms so leaving the lower areas for other things trumps convention.

  3. There was probably a classic toilet with it’s own tank, which prevented a radiator being behind it (there is still the whole mechanism behind the toilet, but it’s less obvious now). This is why it couldn’t be lower on that wall. On the wall to the left, there’s a sink and putting the radiator on the wall to the right would make the room too cramped.

My opinion based on experience working on a 200 year old house. Things just make sense but look really weird at first glance.

  4. The lack of alignment with the toilet is the most upsetting bit

  5. No, it’s just that the rest of the room is a bit too low.

  6. Nope perfect, during the cold seasons I hate when my ears and neck get cold.

  7. I’ve met that plumber. He wears a Stetson & smokes cigarillos.
