Last administration was able to secure several years of indoor vacations for the people fulfilling Trumps wishes.
I don’t find The Onion funny at all anymore. Mostly because the real news headlines are so similar to them now.
If the Executive branch doesn’t comply with the Courts, the only tool left at the Court’s disposal is to deputize private citizens to arrest members of Trump’s administration, and I don’t see how that could possibly pan out without inciting a civil war.
The presidency, vice presidency, congress, & supreme court (along with their powers) exist because they’re defined by the constitution.
To take office, they must swear an oath to faithfully support & defend the constitution.
It would be a contradiction to say “the powers of office come from the constitution, but the office can wield its constitutional powers to violate the constitution.”
Violating their constitutional oath would invalidate their claim to office, and would therefore inherently make them an illegitimate government with no constitutional powers of office.
‘Double Secret Probation Sir?’
‘There’s a little known codicil in the Faber College Constitution that allows the Dean unlimited power…’
How do the people at the Onion hit it out of the park as often as they do.
Americans elected a self proclaimed dictator wannabe TWICE! When did Americans become so stupid?
