UK is the new indian colony now , its kind a funny how the things turn a round
time to change nmw wording to *any person within uk jurisdiction territory.* or whatever legalese covers this intent.
Tory party knew about these plans before p and o staff were thrown out on their arses.
Tory party won’t do anything about this because they don’t give a flying fuck.
Are they P&O breaking any laws by doing so … asking cause I just don’t know.
P&O just go between Ireland, UK and Europe mainland, right? How can they get a bunch of Indians crewing the boat on this wage? Won’t they have to have somewhere to live in Europe or are they going to keep them on the boats permanently like galley slaves or something?
>2. Leave the EU to end attacks on seafarers and the offshore workers
>
>The EU has promoted undercutting and social dumping leading to the decimation of UK seafarers. The same is now happening in the offshore sector. EU directives also require the tendering our public ferry services.
Hi RMT. This you?
We left the EU like you wanted and it happened anyway, except that all the EU staff didn’t get fired! How do you explain that one, I wonder?
Which the government will allow, reminding us how they would happily treat the rest of us if they could.
You would hope this would be enough to finish P&O off, with people avoiding them for both how they treated their old crew and how they are treating their new crew. Sadly, people who have used them in the past or who want a cheap cruise will still use them based on the quality of their cruises alone. Despite people’s claims, many still do not vote with their wallet.
A lot of staff working in the luxury tourism industry are criminally underpaid, including staff on cruise liners, in ski resorts and summer sports resorts. Exploitation in a captive environment trading off of oversold benefits and dangling opportunities otherwise socially and economically inaccessible to those being targeted for employment
They aren’t breaking any law. And the Indians are probably getting a lot more than what they’d get on some Indian ferry. About time P&O crew make a career switch, what does keeping them do for me as a customer other than needlessly increase my costs? The only thing I’m against is how they fired them without notice. That’s probably illegal.

Was hilarious when the Tory MP arrived to support the protest and got heckled https://youtu.be/RxtLP_P5gdY
Don’t give a penny to these scumbags, never using P&O again
