Currently contemplating getting a onewheel (https://onewheel.com/) for commuting, but apparently (for whatever reason) they're illegal to ride in public spaces. To those who own one, what is your experience with the police? Cheers!

    They are illegal because they do not have a second motor that can ensure rapid braking if the first motor fails. These are the basic requirements for electric vehicles to be authorised. Here is the 2015 list:

    I would not only pay attention to the issue of the police, but also to the whole insurance topic.
