  8. I think using that name to refer to Turkey is what the dictator wants. I’ve read Turkish people against that. Even though it might be partly good the change, the fact is still that it’s a dictators desire.

  9. Please note that literally every way of public transportation to the area halted by the government today. Not only that, every important road going there blocked by the police as well. You can’t get there without walking more than an hour.

  38. Turkey has a large intellectual population and pre-islamic history, which is much more secular and progressive.

    So something like Iran or Saudi style of Islamic government is not going to be popular.
