FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The North Dakota State University football team will visit the White House and U.S. Capitol on April 9, where they will meet with President Trump in honor of the team winning the 2025 NCAA Division I FCS national championship.
Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer and Representative Julie Fedorchak made the announcement on Friday.
Hoeven has been working to coordinate the visit, following Hoeven and Cramer speaking with President Donald Trump to arrange the invitation.
“The Bison are tremendous representatives of our state, having developed a record of excellence through their hard work, dedication and strong leadership. We are looking forward to honoring their achievements on April 9 with this visit to the White House, and we appreciate President Trump and his team for working with us to make it happen,” said Sen. Hoeven.
“Like President Trump, the Bison never get tired of winning,” said Senator Cramer. “Looking forward to celebrating our victory together.”
“In North Dakota, we take pride in our agriculture, our energy, and our North Dakota State University Bison,” said Representative Fedorchak.
The Bison beat Montana State 35-32 on Jan. 6, capturing their 10th FCS championship.
