  1. But Boris said we’d beaten covid and I had to get back to the office? Are you telling me that’s not the case??

  2. Just wait until April when tests are no longer free. Numbers can’t go up if people don’t/can’t pay to take a test.

  3. Infections is a meaningless metric, most people I know who have gotten covid in 2022 had nothing more than sniffles and a cold. What about hospitalisation and death?

  4. The virus doesn’t care if you ‘are over it’. It doesn’t care that Boris is bored with it. It doesn’t care that you want things to get back to ‘normal’.

People are treating this like ‘if I ignore it it doesn’t exist’, but it does.

  5. People are getting reinfected after only a few months. Our bodies simply won’t be able to cope with getting this disease repeatedly.

There’s no evidence that reinfections will be less serious, in fact there’s evidence that points to equal or higher risk with each further infection.

How many are going to end up with long Covid or worse?

  6. One local school has had whole year groups sent home because they have too many staff off with covid to be able to operate. I’ve just read that this is also true in a few cases in Scotland.

My GF and I have been careful to the point of paranoia over the last couple of years, and now she has tested positive, and I’m in bed with flu-like symptoms (tested negative 3 days on the trot mind).

Half of the village has covid, and at least 8 of my friends have it currently.

It’s absolutely rife, and were being told to forget about it.
