3. Europe is rich enough to fund it. The biggest fear I have though is that they will try to avoid taxing the rich and dump all the financial burden onto the poor, that's what has been the trend in Europe for the past several decades.
   I'm fine with helping to pay for Europe's defense but only if everyone else has to pay too. I don't want to see them dismantle the social safety nets that made Europe prosperous just to avoid taxing the rich. This is what they have done in the US and why it's falling apart right now.

27. France was always right about not trusting the Americans. For almost all American systems there is a European equivalent. It was just never scaled up because it appeased the US and assured their role in NATO. That's history now. I hope we get the British on board as well, but as much as possible must be used to buy European and to ramp up production. Not everything can be sourced locally on short notice, but it has to be the exception.
    Fortunately, munitions production has been ramped up a lot already.

29. One thing should be clear to US citizens, we paid for your military support by access to our markets. Your companies making money here in the EU. Our citizens under the promises of freedom, equality and fair opportunities have been joining the US for decades and for the most we accepted that as a fair deal. If you venture down this roads of isolationism and from what we see happening domestically in the US also fascism, this deal is over and renegotiating might be tough as it was not made between nations, but your ideals and our citizens individually.
