I have searched and can't seem to find any previous posts on this (apologies if it has been said before 😁), but I've just discovered that there are hidden images in the Irish Passport of leaves which can only be seen with ultraviolet light 😊

  1. There’s a hidden image of Pierce Brosnan in the nip if you look hard enough.

  2. Hold something warm over the ogham on the biodata page

  3. It’s one of the hardest passports to forge with all the security features, but that’s null and void if you leave an unsecured computer in the basement to allow people to log you in when you’re not there, and possibly print off a few passports as need at the behest of other governments.

  4. Isn’t there a three leaf clover on the biodata page?

I’ve heard that the Australian/NZ passports lookmore beautiful.

  5. I’ve mentioned it before, only discovered when it was scanned when I was getting married that mine has a shamrock in it, like this one I pulled off google….

Also some interesting reading on Wikipedia about our passport

  6. One detail visible without UV light is that the threads in the stitching is green, white and orange.
