Russian strikes target Ukraine’s energy infrastructure • FRANCE 24 English

Russia launched a drone attack on the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia, killing three people and wounded 12, Ukrainian officials said Saturday, despite agreeing to a limited ceasefire. Ukraine and Russia agreed in principle Wednesday to a limited ceasefire after US President Donald Trump spoke with the countries’ leaders, though it remains to be seen what possible targets would be off limits to attack.

  4. What this says is that Russia has disengaged with Europe and the US. They have accepted sanctions and exclusion from payment systems as permanent. Any thought of returning to the semi-integrated economy of the 90's is over. They have moved to a separate sphere of influence model. Now Europe can fight its war – without us.

  10. …there was a retaliation, in other words, no documents signed, no consensus reached, therefore war continues as is. It should really come to a point where Ukraine and Russia should be left to do as they please, they both don't seem to want this war to come to an end.

  14. You forgot to mention the fact that this is what Ukraine actually did despite the recent agreement not to hit energy infrastructure, however, its not suprising given the of ability to respect agreements as we've seen in the past with the Minsk I and Minsk II agreement.

  22. When the US military invaded Iraq back in 2003, they caused massive damage to much of Iraq's energy facilities. This is a well known tactic in warfare. I'm surprised that the Russians haven't done much of it though.

  25. Ukraine just attacked a gas facility in Kursk in violation of the limited ceasefire but what's reported is suspicious "Russian attack" on residential area. This is how you manipulate a narrative. 😅

Ukraine is the one broke again agreements by hitting russian energy infrastructure 2 times just after the 30 days ceasefire agreement. But this news didnt dare to reveal the title's fake news. Yet russia has continue ceasefire on energy infrastructure as promised.

  31. Ukrainian soldiers hides and uses civilian infrastructure.
    No wonder they are targeted when they use their own population as shields.
    This madness has to stop.
    Stop funding Ukraine and it will save their lives because they will have to come to the negotiation table.
