Was this cause for cost savings or was it because labour thought money was not being spent the way it should have been?
Btw, foreign aid is not a slush fund given cause people on top are kind. This money is spent to have influence in those regions, which in the longer run also brings money back to the country.
Tldr; it is not as simple as this headline is trying to imply.
