  1. Promised child we’d go find some tadpoles today. Didn’t expect the torrential rain OR that I’d have been up half the night feeling ill. Going to be a long old Sunday

  2. After a super lazy Saturday it’s housework this morning then out for a roast with the parents later then probably post roast laziness

  3. D&D session from midday onwards. Dog walk and a bit of housework before then

  4. The rain is back! I’ve weirdly missed it as we’ve had such a run of bright sunny days. It means I can try out my new windscreen wipers. I lead a wild and enthralling life. Hope everyone has a good one.

  5. I’m watching a documentary called Valley Uprising about the birth of modern rock climbing for the 100th time this year (it’s an amazing watch, and has an epic soundtrack). Then I’m going to dust off my hobby of drawing city scapes. There’s also the need to repaint a wall in he utility room, because last year I came I home from work and leaned against the wall with a grubby hand, leaving a light brown hand of Sauruman on this wall that you can see from across the kitchen – we’d only painted it two weeks prior. I also need to make some life choices about my job and living arrangements, and send out some positive thoughts to people.

  6. I’m 40 years old, and I’m going to Nandos and bowling this evening. Genuinely looking forward to it!

  7. Unfortunately I’m not going to have any lazy days for a while – bought a house and the previous owners left it in an absolutely disgusting state, so I’m spending everyday cleaning and redecorating before I can even move in. Getting some quotes for a new bathroom today and then down to the house to strip mouldy wallpaper, sand floors and clean an oven that looks like a ball of fat was left to cook in it overnight.

  8. Taking the eldest to his football match and the youngest to swimming lessons. Bed change day….however I have a day off from work tomorrow and whilst the kids are at school am going to go for a long walk 🙂

  9. Up watching F1 with my son. Then want to batch cook, and start my first ever Rolife kit. Bought it thinking it was more like Lego, but (after years of misunderstood mental health issues) am interested in going out of my comfort zone

  10. Got another three fights lined up and then a phrenology lesson

  11. Got the week off work next week.

Usually Sundays are non stop but today I’m going to go gym, go on a walk. Then maybe do some painting/diy.

  12. Off for a few days down that there London later on. Got tickets to see Inside No 9 theatre show tomorrow, really looking forward it.

  13. Might do a Pokémon Go route or two with my dog, cook a Sunday lunch for one as the wife is currently away.

  14. Going to cycle to Bury St Edmunds with my daughter for a Hotel Chocolat hot chocolate, as requested! Maybe uncover the motorbike to admire its beauty, then cover it back up again

  15. I had to drop other half at the airport at 3.30 this morning after being woken up by the drunk teenager coming home at 12.30 and slamming every damn door in the house. Got back to bed at 4.30 and have managed a couple of hours of kip.

Now I need to get up and go walk the dog, then the training plan says an hour bike followed by 90 min run. Then I get to do the big shop, then go see mum and try and fix her WiFi. Then I’ve just got the work I should have finished off last week.

    Day of rest, right?

  16. Sleeping! I’m about to finish a 12 hour overnight shift, so I’m beyond ready to hit the sack.

  17. Take the wee man to play rugby, empty my van of yesterday’s market stuff then fill it with tomorrow’s handyman stuff.

Finished off with tea at my Nans ready to start the week again

  18. I just finished a night shift. I’m currently waiting for my partner to wake up so I can do the joyful act of shopping and then sitting in Marks and Sparks car park for an hour or so whilst she charges her car. Then I’ll force myself to stay awake throughout the day so my clocks back to normal for tomorrow.

I want a Sunday roast but there’s no way I’m cooking one after a night shift and I’m going nowhere near the chaos of a carvery today

  19. Having a cup of tea in bed, and taking it gently today. I’ll finish potting on some seedlings later, but that’s about as strenuous as it’s going to get.

  20. Got my dad staying with us this weekend. This is the first time since I left home 30 years ago that he has ever come to visit me, thanks to my stepmother, but she carked it last year so finally he’s come to visit. I’d forgotten what hard work he can be, but still it’s nice for him to see where we live and we had a nostalgic trip yesterday to where we used to go on holiday when I was a small child. We’re taking him to a fantastic country pub for Sunday lunch and later I’ll probably take him down to my local for a beer and to meet the crowd down there.

  21. i’m off down to london to go to a sewing/craft show. hoping to get some fabric and just have a nice day with my sewing pals!

it’s a shame the weather isn’t nicer but at least we’ll be inside for the majority of the day.

  22. Hopefully going for a walk this morning, I just started medication for my insomnia so hopefully the cold air wakes me up a bit😂

  23. For those who may be wondering, since people often ask about the locations of the photos I use for the Sunday thread, this is the ruins of St. Saviour’s Church in the village of Surlingham, Norfolk.

  24. I’m about to get ready for my volunteer job, then maybe a beer or two down the pub.

  25. Auditions at the local am dram society this afternoon, so spending the morning looking at some lines 🤞🏻

  26. I’m getting on a train to York in a couple of hours. Arriving around 4, then meeting our pals in the pub to start a week’s holiday.

  27. About to go to a little French toast restaurant for breakfast. Then spend the day on the sofa after eating too much.

  28. Another early F1 watcher. Wasn’t intentional, just my body clock being stupid.

Awaiting updates on my Mother, who had to go to A&E yesterday, which isn’t made easier by being 150 miles away from her. Probably still too early to call my sister who has been coordinating things despite the fact that she is 250 miles away.

All future activities will be dependent on the nature of these updates.

  29. You have asked while I have been up with my 9 month old twice through the night and now been up with her since 5:30 ontop of that… So not alot 😅

  30. I have a slight hangover, husband poured me two glasses of wine last night and I didn’t realise they were HUGE glasses. Got to get my son to his football match and pack away all the shite in the living room, because the painter is coming tomorrow.

  31. Garden centre to find a bay tree and marjoram to finish off a garden bed.

  32. Listening to road works right outside my house since 7am 🤬🤬

  33. Still in bed scrolling, but going for a run as soon as my body is ready to get off bed.

    Laundry and some life admin.

  34. Morning all. 48 year old married father of two here. I’m on a work training course for the full week starting tomorrow, so am driving over this afternoon – it’s at head office and I live about 4 hours drive away, so it’s ***just*** to far to drive tomorrow morning.

It’s pissing me off because it feels like work is encroaching on my weekend. Thankfully, I’ve got all of my clothes packed and ready.

I’m setting off at about midday, so this morning will mostly be about making sure I’ve done enough house admin (laundry/updating weekly school planner/shopping) to make it straightforward for my wife who’ll be on sole charge of the kids – she works full time so doesn’t need any distractions during the day.

That’s me. As you can tell, I’m not going to have a fun Sunday!

  35. Have been up with an itchy throat all night. Have been on antihistamines for hayfever so fear this is a genuine cold. Father staying one more night so have booked Alto Knights this evening at the Everyman. Hoping he’s up for Hampton court evensong this afternoon or a little trip to town to see the Tower of London and maybe get a Philly cheesesteak at Passyunk. None of this might be his thing but what I want to do. May just be a lazy day instead.

  36. Had a ridiculously busy work week then came home Friday to immediately bake a birthday cake and two types of cupcake, then make a picnic for 7 people. Yesterday took the picnic and the people to the adventure farm park – daughters birthday treat, she turns 6 on Wednesday. Didn’t do anywhere near as much walking as I’d have done this time last year as I’m just not able anymore (health issues fucking up all my joints) but even so have been awake most of the night in agony. Daughter still has a friend here but all 3 kids (my two plus the friend) are watching my husband play a game. My daughters friends parents are close enough to us that they don’t knock when they arrive to visit, just stroll in and make themselves a cup of tea, so although the dad is coming to collect her at some point, I’m on the sofa, in my dressing gown, cuddling the dog, watching cooking shows, and have no intention of getting dressed or doing much of anything. Except occasionally shifting position in a vain attempt to relieve the pain in my joints.
