Hello, I have a question regarding a Deutsche Bahn ticket I bought a few days ago for a trip from Munich to Vienna. I’m facing two issues and would appreciate any advice from someone with a similar experience.
First, during the booking process on the Bahn.de website, I wasn’t asked for the second passenger’s information (such as their name). Now, the ticket only displays my name but indicates that it’s valid for two people. Is this normal?
Second, I reserved seats for both of us, but after checking the seat map on another website, I noticed that our seats are not next to each other. Is there a way to fix this? Alternatively, would it be acceptable for us to sit together on the train if adjacent seats are available?
Thank you in advance for your help!

If they are not reserved for someone else, sure.
Yes it’s normal that only one name is on the ticket.
Go to a DB service center and have them change your seat reservation. Alternatively, you can just sit in any seat that isn‘t reserved (there’s a small display that will indicate if the seat is occupied).
