I mean, I’d live there, but it could be turned into something.
But poor choices of taste, had the money to build that and put in those tiles and PVC windows. It’s like a hotel.
I think that’s an actual mansion…
what r/Ireland thinks all culchies live in.
It’s alright. Prefer a contemporary design, but if you want to be pretend aristocrats go for it.
A nice 3 bed semi in County waterford approaching 400k. Give one of them a decent size of around 125m2 then this is basically 6 times the house for 4 times the money. It’s a steal if you really look at it.
The tennis courts always makes me laugh, can think of a load of houses near me that have them and never once seen them being used.
Why would you build such a huge property, but glaze it with stock size, off the shelf, cheap white PVC windows?
Aptly named Knockhouse, as it should be knocked
No pool?????
What’s up with the incredibly big hall and landing leading to relatively pokey rooms with small windows ?
Going to be a posh B+B or something. Who needs six bedrooms?
I always thought that house was owned by the travellers!
I was mad to have a nose and it’s as awful on the inside as it is on the outside.
More money than style. It looks older than celtic tiger though, or maybe its just the ugly dated decor ages it.
It’s attic (unused) is bigger than an average 3 bed semi d
That actually looks horrible. On the outside at least.
edit: actually the inside is pretty gross too. Could do with some modrenization.
Poor effort at a jungle games room. Needs more than a zebra mat and a few throw cushions. Where’s the stuffed animals, elephant statues & tropical wallpaper?
The bigger attic room is nearly as big as a tennis court. I wonder how often they found themselves having 6 people sitting in the upstairs landing, rather than one of the other dozen actual rooms in the house?
Terrible design. Such a waste of resources.
The person who gave planning for this shitshow needs to be sacked.
Been on sale for awhile
Being wealthy during neoliberalism is probably the worst time in history for a country to do so as far as having any architectural legacy to show for it.
I worked on that house when it was built nearly 20 years ago.
I won’t lie, I like it. I wouldn’t build or buy it myself but I do like it.
Built by an Estate Agent, or a Builder?
They could have had beautiful gardens outside – yet it’s just tarmac everywhere. And the inside looks so cheap. House is completely lacking in character, and it looks like they had an interior decorating budget of about two grand.
House is ok but the noise and the fumes from the N25 must be brutal.

Peak Irish Tiger: they did apply for a Heli pad, but were refused: https://www.eplanning.ie/WaterfordCCC/AppFileRefDetails/98500293/0
