  1. This is the moment she crossed the line to traitor… *I would say, on balance, the perspective that Pierre would bring would be very much in sync with, I think…**the new direction in America**,” she added.*

  2. Let’s hope PP runs with Smith’s open and constant endorsement. That will bring him a double downer, lol. Two clowns nicely matched.

  3. The Liberals need to blast these quotes absolutely everywhere there are undecided voters. I completely understand people unhappy with the Liberals under Trudeau, but this is what we Canadians are voting on next month.

Donald Trump wants Canada to not exist. Pierre Poilievre’s only real ally confirmed that PP is aligned with Trump and his beliefs. That’s all there is to it.

  4. UNTIL AFTER the election. She still doesn’t care if tariffs are put in place. She is not canada first. She is a traitor

  5. The fact she even associated with breitbart should be a huge red flag.

  6. I am an Albertan and she does not speak for the majority of us.

We might be a “conservative” province but she does not have a high popularity right now. Conservative is also relative because it is so far left of the Republican party in the USA.

If you held a vote in Alberta about joining the USA and separating 90% would vote no. We do not like Trump, despite what this moron we voted for wants people to believe.

  7. Upvoted in the hopes more see this, and see just how bad a CPC win would be for our country.

  8. Cozying up to the US administration as a conjoined effort to elect trumps pal PP; their views align.

  9. She loves US so much she can’t wait to join them. She was also in Texas last week chatting with American enegry companies. And when Carney went to Europe, conservatives went haywire.

  10. She said the quiet part out loud.

She does not care about Albertans or Canadians. There is no doubt she only cares about political positioning and oil interests.

She is bought and paid for.

This is why modern Canadian conservatives avoid saying much of anything. They prefer to criticize on social media. When they actually do, it becomes clear their motives don’t have the interest of the average Canadian at heart.

This is also why PP doesn’t want media on his election campaign.

  11. Encouraging another government to interfere in our election. Her version of “Russia gate.” Danielle, you’re a lot of things but you’re no patriot, that’s for sure. In fact your actions suggest the opposite.

  12. So, in case you didn’t know, Alberta is a province in Canada that has oil and has been very pro-America since forever. Ted Cruz was born in Alberta. This idiot premier has been snuggling up with the Trumpists for as long as she’s been around. She’s just disgusting.

  13. Hopefully this backfires on her the same way Trump’s threats have backfired on him.

  14. Since this is WorldNews and some people are not Canadian, for those who don’t know, Pierre Poilievre is Trump lite in Canada and is the leader of the Conservative party in Canada. Yes, there is even a party to the right of the Conservative party called the PPC, but Pierre Poilievre doesn’t want to lose any right wing voters to the PPC party so he has co-opted a lot of Trump’s politics to try to appease those voters.

The Alberta Premier, Danielle Smith, is the Premier of Alberta and leads the United Conservative Party in Alberta (Alberta is a province in Canada). What Danielle Smith did is ask Trump to pause the tariffs to help Pierre Poilievre win the election. She didn’t even ask Trump to end the tariffs on Canada, only to pause the tariffs until the election is over.

The Conservative party was leading the polls before the Trump trade war against Canada and his consistent statements to try to annex Canada. But Pierre Poilievre was slow to react to Trump’s threats, while Trudeau was very quick to stand up for Canada. The irony is, two other prominent conservatives in Canada, Stephen Harper (the former Prime Minister of Canada before Trudeau), and Doug Ford (the Premier of Ontario and also the leader of the Progressive Conservative party in Ontario) made strong statements to stand up to Trump and to defend Canada, and they set examples of what Pierre Poilievre should have done.

FYI, Pierre Poilievre was endorsed by Elon Musk and still hasn’t rejected Elon Musk’s endorsement – [here is Pierre Poilievre’s response to Elon Musk’s endorsement when asked by a reporter](
https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/video/9.6609234). Also, Pierre Poilievre’s campaign manager was in a photo wearing a MAGA cap but he has not fired his campaign manager. And yet many conservatives claim that Pierre Poilievre is not a Trump lackey, lol.

  15. See Canadian conservatives can be traitors just like American ones.

  16. I’m a albertan will never agree with Smith. She doesn’t speak for me. Once a traitor always a traitor.

  17. Looks like strategic voting will be the play. Cons are clearly aligned with Trump and cannot be trusted to not hand us over on a silver platter.

  18. For those of you not aware, Danielle Smith might actually be more of a lunatic then Trump. Absolute disgrace and a stain on Canada

  19. Dangerous talk – she is doing her best to divide Canada and create an even bigger internal crisis

  20. She’s done this treason, participated in massive corruption in the dismantling of our healthcare system, stolen income from severely disabled people, actively made the addiction crisis worse, sold out our majestic eastern slopes to Australia coal strip mining billionaires, and more.

She needs to be removed from office and imprisoned.

  21. I would just like to point out that while Alberta has the reputation of being the Texas of Canada, a vast majority of Albertans (Over 80%) DO NOT want to join the United States.
