  1. > “Yeah, I’ve had conversations with other writers about that,” he told PEOPLE at PaleyFest on Saturday, referring to the classic 1992 comedy. Macchio starred in the screwball-indebted courtroom comedy as the cousin of the titular Vinny Gambini, played by Joe Pesci. Macchio referred to the film as “a beloved piece,” noting that crafting a reboot comes down to “finding the smart angle in.”

    > When asked if Pesci would be involved, Macchio suggested, “He could FaceTime it in here” if on-set shooting would be too strenuous for the 82-year-old.

  2. Yeah this is highly unlikely considering Pesci but it also sounds like a terrible idea…

  3. Straight to Netflix, where it will be forgotten after a week

  4. FFS. Not everything remotely successful needs a sequel or prequel.

Get off your lazy asses and start making original franchises that you can fuck up after I’m long dead.

  5. NO

    just no

No offense to Ralph, but the magic of the movie was Pesci, Tomei , and the Judge

none of them are going to participate (Judge actor is dead) , and a complete story was told

its just a lazy nostalgia/cash grab

  6. Stop trying to ruin great movies.

This does not need a sequel and nothing you make is going to be as good as the original.

Stop strip mining classic movies for a quick buck.

  7. Good luck with that. Although I would pay to see the conversation between Macchio, the studio executives and Joe Pesci!

  8. With respect, no one was watching it for your Ralph. Let it go.

  9. if it a sequel was made, two youths at most would enjoy it

  10. This would be a bad idea. And why would Ralph macchio’s character be needed at all. He was barely relevant in the original’s story

  11. “My Cousin Vinny” and “What About Bob” shall not be given a sequel, prequeled, remake, alteration, edit, or addition of any way form, on perpetuity, forever and ever amen.

  12. Only if Pesci wears face tape again. My girlfriend pointed it out and now I can’t unsee it

  13. Macchio is now panicking realizing his karate kid stimulus is about to officially end in May

  14. Please don’t… Some movies don’t need a sequel or a remake, and should just be left alone. My Cousin Vinny is a great movie, and they’re not going to capture the same magic with a sequel.

  15. Joe Pesci is found out for his crimes of impersonating a lawyer and Ralph Macchio so affected by his time in jail became a lawyer and will now defend him including a loud 3am train. You’re welcome studios.
