  18. It will definitely be a sub-2k capacity venue. Possbly somewhere the size of the cafe in Princes St Waterstones.

    Hopefully at least 1/2 of attendees will turn out to be people going just to take the piss out of her and tell her to take an overdose of barbiturates.

  24. It’s probably a few hundred writers, reviewers, and reporters who buy tickets to these things, so they get a story or two when she says something controversial.

  29. It might surprise you to learn that prior to this tour she did a mini “Work in Progress” tour in… Scotland.

    She was in Elgin, Aberdeen, Falkirk & Cumbernauld.

    For those who aren’t aware – A WIP Tour is something a stand up comedian does when they’ve written material, but they haven’t had a chance to try it out on a live audience yet.

    So they take all their stuff, go to small venues and try it out. Throughout the course of the WIP Tour they will adjust their act, cut jokes that don’t get laughs and maybe add a joke or two that they thought up on the fly that did get a laugh. Then they take the finished, polished routine out there to the bigger venues. The WIP tour might not be as funny, but it is usually cheaper and not heavily publicised.

    The strange thing about this though, is Katy Hopkins final polished tour is in places that comedians would use for a WIP tour. And even then, some of them are too small for even that.

    So I have no idea what kind of places she was in for the WIP Tour.
