Finland again ranked happiest country in the world as US falls to its lowest-ever position
Finland has been named the happiest country in the world for the eighth year in a row, according to the World Happiness Report 2025 published Thursday. Other Nordic countries are also once again at the top of the happiness rankings in the annual report while the United States dropped to its lowest-ever position at 24, having previously peaked at 11th place in 2012.

Yaβll know thereβs the happiness index only because Bhutan actually got ranked the happiest country and the west got offended and wasnβt having none of that so they created the happiness index to put western countries at the top right?
Why tf out of hundreds of countries you consistently mention the US ALWAYS? give it a rest
I really don't understand what make gays happier than straight.
If only other countries had the same policy to immigration maybe they would also be much happier
It does put things into a grim outlook of the rest of the world in that knowing that everywhere else it only goes downhill.
I mean things aren't terrible and things could be a lot worse, but your telling me this is the peak and the best there currently is?
I guess that I just struggles to understand the concept that there are people who live in first world countries, who has it a lot lot lot worse and from a Finnish perspektiv lives in absolut misery but simultaneously are educated, has acces to information on the internet, dosen't live in a tyrannical regime and yet haven't started an uprising or revolution?
When Mexico is in the top 10 of any happiness ranking, you know something is wrong. In short, happiness is determined not by the quality of a country, but by the character of its people
According to my dna test i'm also Finnish. I think my ancestor Rovael is actually from Tallinn/Reval. In Dutch Reval was called Rovael.
If there are no mosquitoes in Tallinn, maybe I can convince my husband to buy me a trip.
Congratulations to Finland. But I see you could not resist a little dig at the US. And the happiness in France?
Canada needs to be more Nordic and far less american. Congrats Finland
How can US be 24th ?! – americans are literally suffering !
The nordics roles πππππππ»ππ»β€οΈ
The Fins win again!! It's nice to see my ancestors are the happiest of people.
Hello from Finland. Im happy taxpayer. Almost everything works here.
As a Finnish person, i am just baffled that we have been the happiest country for the sixth time in a row, which is funny to me but i will still take the first place no matter what π
System is rigged for sure
Good on you Finland. We in Mexico came at 10 on this measurement this year. Also great to see our causins from Costa Rica at number 6. Pura vida hermanos Ticos desde Mexico Lindo y Querido π
Happy here means "fine"
Give me this sunshine pliiiiis
Happiest but high in suicide as per report. How that they are happiest wherein Finnish people. Are not sociable according to report.
The country with the shortest memory. They have already forgotten their 0 medal at the last summer Olympic games .I suppose that gold fishes are the happiest animals and the elephants the saddest
Congrats Finland! I hope the rest of the worlds' leaders will learn from you.
America was happy before we got 30 to 40 million illegal third world immigrants. Stay racially pure Finland!
Not true. Immigration and islamisation ruined this country already. Gang violence is increasing not free speech either.
i don't know how we do it, maybe living next to russia makes us stay realistic and honest
it all could be gone tomorrow
A small country with a small population who has not up until this point paid for its own defense. It does not compare to a mid sized country and certainly not a large population.
It's because Finland built communities. Billionaire's don't build communities, they build castles.
I live in Finland the inquiry done here is not about happiness as the English word means, it means content, Finland's population is around a bit more than 5 million and holds almost 900 000 poor people; 1 of every 3 adults feels lonely suicide among young people is very high, and there is a lot of alcoholism and drug use, is just all propaganda, or a big misunderstood with a do not know what goal this rank.
