“Sanctions don’t work.”
They keep dropping the cards
So this has been predicted for a while.
A lot of late era Soviet airframes are way past their original service lives, and they are currently being pushed far beyond their limits with daily patrols/sorties.
On top of this regular “safe” maintenance schedules are being ignored by a combination of running too many missions and supply issues with spare parts.
It’s just impossible to keep these old machines in high stress active service for this long without them degrading.
Did ejection system fail as well?
Insert “This one sparks joy” meme here!
It’s the Ukrainian micro drone sabotage
Ahhhhhh hahahahaha
That’s all that needs saying
:))

Remember, engines don’t wear out all at once. Every day, every twitch of a gear, an engine gets a little older, a little creakier. Such is the ravages of time.
It’s only with events like this, that we notice.
Bummer. Anyway . . .
