13. My guess is the anti-Europe sentiments is based on Ukraine. Trump wants Ukraine to stop fighting and, basically, surrender to Putin. Europe is still standing by Ukraine and the EU is still holding its door open to Ukraine too. Egypt was also mentioned and I think that has something to do with the Palestinians in Gaza, who Trump wants to deport to some other country “either temporarily or permanent”.

He needs to be reminded that without European intervention (France in particular) our country wouldn’t have come into existence, and without European restraint the Confederacy might have won the Civil War and our country would not exist in its present form. We are all interconnected and people like JD who believe in isolationism are fools of the highest order.

33. Why is anyone that knows this guy follows Thiel and Yarvin surprised at this rhetoric. They hate a united Europe because it’s the worst enemy for their plans in the United States. The worst enemy to corpocracy is a functioning democratic alternative with a solid currency. They hate that. Russia is not an enemy for them because Russia is weak. Europe however isn’t. And that’s a problem for their plans. This is why Musk invested in right wing nonsense. To sew discord and disagreement within the EU.

36. I know many likely already did, but it’s important for Europeans to understand that the foreign policy of the current administration isn’t just authoritarian and transactional, but it is combined with an actual ideological disdain for European allies.

    Trump himself may not care one way or another about Europe as he seems just more like a narcissistic sociopath, but the people he’s brought on, including the VICE PRESIDENT and HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE are ideologically opposed to current European values.

    The lessons Europe has learned over the 20th century that has resulted in a generation of peace, especially compared to early 20th century and prior, is seen as a weakness to these people.
