How Ukrainian drone operators arm their drones due to the lack of funds by the state/army. Improvise, adapt, overcome

  1. You fight with the resources you have, not the resources you want.

  2. I assume they are “harvesting” the explosive compound and then repackage them for drone use?

I know there is probably no way for the compound to ignite from the hammer, but it still looks sketchy as all hell.

  3. Full body tyvek suits and respirators swinging hammers.. that’s hot sweaty work. Surrounded by toxic dust.

  4. This seems like a solid operation for repurposing of the old mines though. Proper PPE and all.

  5. If Russia ever somehow manages to occupy Ukraine (seems incredibly doubtful at this stage), it will be a very costly occupation dealing with all the IEDs.

  6. Adapt and overcome. Look at Afghanistan they used medevil basic shit and clapped our cheeks pretty often

  7. These appear to be TM-62 series mines, which generally have TNT as the explosive content. It can be re-cast at a relatively low temperature, which my guess is what they’re doing here.

  8. Is this due to lack of funds though? At least a year ago I heard Mike Kofman talking about both sides cannablising munitions for drone usage due to a worldwide shortage of explosives.

Heres a story from July 2024

    And March 2024:

  9. the only real danger here is the toxic fumes giving you cancer.

  10. “ok andreii, welcome to workshop, now go grab hammer and start smashing anti tank mine, is perfectly safe I promise…. Fifty fifty”

  11. It really is amazing how stable modern explosives are. TNT was used for decades as a dye before it was even discovered to be explosive. Crazy. Not saying this is tnt, just an example. Edit, apparently it is TNT.

  12. No shame here. Whatever it takes to WIN! Fight on Ukraine.

  13. If you haven’t watched the “drone factories” mini documentaries I highly recommend them. Unless you’re in a bad mental place. They are depressing as fuck.

It’s super interesting to see the ingenuity these brave people have designing and manufacturing many types of drones with limited resources to protect their families, sovereignty and lives. Absolutely amazing job Ukrainians. I wish I had more to give you all ❤️

  14. What are they hitting with the hammers, sorry if that’s a dumb question.

  15. How much funds do they need ?? I’m sure Ukraine Army has every European, a standard rifle at its disposal??
