Everyone desires it, yet few can endure it.

  1. A single snowflake lands on the rail… the entire network collapses.

  2. Nah, I love it when it snows. We as a nation just aren’t prepared for it on a practical level.

  3. I hate the impact but it does make any horrible area look better

  4. I’d enjoy snow more if the incompetent drivers stayed home when it was snowing.

  5. I love snow when I’ve got no plans, nowhere I need to be, and can just sit in my house looking at it, or take a leisurely walk.

If I have any actual responsibilities then snow can fuck off though

  6. I remember moving to Rome in 2018. I lived there for 5 years and it didn’t snow once. A common comment I got was stuff along the lines of “It must have been nice to see all that snow in London”. I had to break it to them that the UK is very warm in Winter largely due to the Gulf stream and that I barely saw snow. Labrador, Canada sees temperatures 30° lower at the same latitude. Not only are there islands off the coast of Norway so warm it barely even snows in Winter but the Atlantic is ice free all the way to Svalbard (80°N), whereas, in East Asia, the ice sometimes reaches Japan. The gulf stream and latitude make Summers in the UK very cool though

  7. That would imply that people wishing for snow were causing it to snow.

  8. I really hope it snows… heavy snow would be nice… on Friday… Friday evening… while I’m off work… it would be nice to wake up to the sea of pristine white… then I can go sledging, build snowmen and throw snowballs and maybe go to the pub… hmmm I hope it thaws quickly though… by Monday morning… I don’t really like walking through that grey road slush though… oh god what if it doesn’t thaw? What if it starts to snow of Sunday evening? Oh no, the trains! The roads! Oh god, oh the humanity! Think of the children… throwing ice balls at me… arrrggghhh….
