Calling it now. This will spiral out of control. Take 3x longer and cost 10x more than it will need to.
Absolute insanity. The UK is totally broke, and also failing to meet climate emissions targets. This flies in the face of both problems.
So we can spend 8.3bn on this, but we still can’t have the A1 converted to dual carriageway in Northumberland because it’s too expensive? Fucking ridiculous.
Thank goodness it’s on the Thames, for a moment I was worried we were going to build some UK infrastructure. It was like the visceral fear I felt when HS2 could have potentially involved investing in the North but thankfully the money ran out just after the London bit was finished.
Even though I hate Kingdom’s what a joy it is to be United in our love and support of South English infrastructure.
Go Elon!
“First crossing of the Thames in 60 years” , er, the QE2 bridge at Dartford was only open in 1991
Is this being made by the same company as the HS2.
Places your bets here for the ending overspend, im going for 23 billion
£8 billion infrastructure in this country?
Na mate. It’ll cost at least £20 bil, and then be cancelled half way through.
God forbid we get some high speed train lines to any other parts of the country
FFS spend it on the NHS not this vanity project. Nearly as pointless as that stupid aircraft carrier.
Every government has to have their massive white elephant.
They didn’t plot and scheme their way to power to miss out on the government money gravey train.
Can’t we instead just spend that on a tube in Bristol please
