Danish PM sharpens the message: US is being unreasonable and out of line

   The Prime Minister emphasizes that Donald Trump must be taken seriously.

   “President Trump is serious, and he is determined. He wants Greenland. Therefore, it can’t be viewed as unrelated to anything else,” she says.

   In the interview, Mette Frederiksen underlines, according to DR and TV 2, that there is a desire for cooperation from both the Danish and Greenlandic sides.

   An extraordinary NATO summit under Article 4 would allow clarification of the United States’ NATO membership commitments and, if necessary, political sanctions to be decided or NATO forces to be deployed to Greenland.

7. The Americans already made it clear that they don’t care about this.

   The EU should make more decisive steps, such as increasing the military presence on the island, while Greenland should just deny Vance entry. Either that or give her a stay of her life with 24/7 protests all around her

8. Mette’s tough, I like her. She was only 41 years old when she was elected Prime Minister and she’s handled some challenging situations really well.

   6. Economy overdependent on fossil fuels, therefore hostile to the development of all alternative energies.

   All of his policies are aimed at creating post-soviet Russia, America edition.

10. Why aren’t they just denied entry at port of entry? The way they do to our fellow EU citizens in US airports.

23. As a Canadian, I have to now get my gun license. I completely agree. This is pure insanity but it won’t stop at Greenland and Canada. If the other countries don’t seriously fight back right now, you will all be targeted. Kissing the ring is not a solution.

    Weak europan politicians keep enabling terrorists and criminals. If we back down, compromise, if we even treat them as our equals – in any way, then we already lost.

30. It’s difficult to bar important americans from visiting etc when there is such a large American military presence already in the military bases. All the EU countries are now in this predicament

US wants Europe to step up and provide their own defense funding and all of Europe is upset that instead of wasting money on random things that they shit talk America about, they actually have to cover their own countries defense. You’d think with the European Union being a thing, there would already be a European defense fund or something with all their militaries working together.
