  1. they after all the protesters and anti police people instead of criminals. maybe even more female victims cant ever trust the met

  2. Reminds me of that Paul Chowdary joke “If you get stabbed, nobody will find the killer, but if you drive in the bus lane, they’ll send you a ticket the next day… so make sure you get stabbed in the bus lane.”

  3. Jokes on them, I look like a generic person if my age in the area I am in…. Good luck picking me out in a crowd

  4. Imagine how many folks they could catch if they park this up in Croydon.

  5. This has existed for years, the only difference was before they were using people known as ‘super recognisers’ who have a natural ability to recognise facial features at a superhuman level.

    Now they are using computers.

  6. Isn’t that something they can do with all municipal cameras, essentially? I’ve read countless articles about it.

  7. Live: Camera van recognition in operation – crims go this way instead →

  8. They were piloting a version of this technology in easy ham station more than 20 years ago. They’ve been using it like this for a year or two and covertly for who knows how long. Soon enough drones will do it.

  9. They all wear balaclavas or covid masks anyway so whats the point 😂

  10. Sun glasses defeat facial recognition. Masks do not. Please don’t stop the immunocomprimised and disabled from using respirators on the fake calls that “you’re disgusting identity”

  11. Isn’t the point of CCTV face recognition to lay low? If such a van covered with warnings appear on a street, no criminal from black list would appear there.

  12. The text on that sticker looks photoshopped as it doesn’t line up and there’s different shades of white around the letters…

  13. Pretty disgusting. absolutely despise this. We’ve already got the most cctv cameras in the world

  14. This will be the norm everywhere at some point. Can’t wait for the 🐑 to wake up to the sick people who rule the world

  15. This is what those dumbass “blade runners” should be destroying instead of ULEZ.

  16. Here for the comments, still proud to see so few people bother to ask the operators how it works or the legal framework and instead act like it’s Minority Report all over again.

  17. Well, let’s see, considering you can go to the police and tell them that you know where your nicked stuff is and can they please help you retrieve it, and they will say, “sorry, mate, no capacity for that”, then I’m honestly not too worried about them doing anything useful – or even nefarious – whatsoever with their shiny new Chinese surveillance technology. Also, that was a ridiculously long sentence.
