Turkey’s CHP needs to broaden protest beyond party to maintain momentum, researcher says
Vast crowds of students surged onto Istanbul’s streets on Monday in the latest protest over the arrest and jailing of Istanbul’s opposition mayor that has sparked Turkey’s worst unrest in years. FRANCE 24’s Peter O’Brien speaks to Massimo D’Angelo, Research Associate at Loughborough University London. He says that the opposition party CHP must broaden the protest movement beyond the party if it wants to maintain momentum.

So as Turks we should vote for robbers instead, they are under investigation for robbery and terrorism. There are solid evidences at the court. Not all Turks are supporting them especially not the ones with logic. You are telling majority of the population should look otherwise when they are stealing enough to build Ukraine again. While they have connections with terrorist. When they get a diploma without deserving. When they have enough power behind them, they can do whatever they want. This is dictatorship and the protestors attacked police with acids and hatchets. They are real vandals. We are afraid to go out because of their barbaric protests. They didn't even had a respect for mosques, the tombs, they broke Ottoman tomb stones, historic artifacts. They made this barbaric acts at the Ramadan.
Turkish Republic’s foundation is against democratic values. Actually CHP is the most effective power bank of Erdogan’s regime. Basically CHP similar to Bashar Esat , erdogan identical to current Syrian leader Jolani . Both equally bad not only for Kurds also for all regions.

AS A TURK: There was a political coup in Türkiye 10 days ago! As a result of this political coup, Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İMAMOĞLU, who was innocent and loved by the people, was imprisoned due to secret witness slanders. Many politicians and journalists in the country were unjustly and unlawfully imprisoned. This is a huge damage to the country! The people of Turkey are on the streets and resisting! Students are being punished very harshly and mercilessly by the police! Protesting is a constitutional right in Türkiye, but the Erdoğan government is banning it and openly calling its own people terrorists. The whole world should know this!
