Queen Elizabeth finding it ‘extremely difficult to walk’ as health fears mount

  1. And if you read the article, you’ll read that the full sentence is “*She’s finding it extremely difficult to walk or stand for long periods*“. So basically like anyone who is 95.

  2. End of the day we’ll all get a few days off when she dies. Ideally she’ll go just after her jubilee so we can get them added on to that. Should be a week off in total.

  3. 2022 will just keep getting worse and worse, huh ?
Hopefully she recovers somewhat, but given her age it’s entirely normal. I’m too lazy to walk when I’m really tired in my late 20s, I can’t imagine what it’s like at 95.

  4. She’s 96!!.. what are they expecting from her?.. cartwheels down Windsor High Street?.. let her sit for a while!.. she’s earned it!..

  5. I just want her to hang on till October/November time. We don’t have any bank holidays from August onwards and it would be very lovely of her if her last duty was to give us an autumnal bank holiday.

  6. Fair enough, happens to the best of us though having said that, most of us would be lucky to still be around pushing 96, let alone retaining our faculties or the ability to weight bear

Is there a particular reason she can not simply use a walking frame, wheelchair or mobility scooter? Most normal people would had done.. always got the impression they have a massive chip on their shoulder when it comes to disability ^(though this is more a simple case of advancing years)

  7. [Friendly reminder of this, sorry:](https://amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/sep/03/security-operation-for-queens-death-includes-social-media-blackouts) “The state funeral will be held 10 days after her death and heralded as a “day of national mourning”, but it will not be an official bank holiday. If it falls on a weekday it will be left to the discretion of employers to give their staff the day off, and there will be no substitute day off if it falls on a weekend.”

  8. She a nonagenarian who has recently had covid. Even fully jabbed, and with the best medical treatment in the world, that’s going to take it out of her. I’d be genuinely surprised if she makes it to the end of the year.

  9. Are you saying it’s time The Queen goes full Davros? Because I think it’s time for The Queen to go full Davros.
