Beautiful sunset this evening looking towards Edinburgh Castle with the imposing presence of Ben Ledi in the background. British Airways making an appearance in my shot coming in to land 😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

  1. The perspective/distance of this is wild. Are you able to explain, as if to an idiot, how this works? I assume it’s to do with focal lengths?

  2. I thought this was a joke and it was a city in South America mislabelled – but no – it’s Auld Reekie!

  3. That is some insane compression, guessing focal length was around 800mm? Cracking pic definitely a new perspective on the castle!

  4. No. There’s no way this is a shot. Sorry, OP but you are going to have to provide some serious evidence to convince me this is a single shot.

  5. I’m sure this is very clever, and the orange background is great, but unfortunately, the castle itself is so dark and obscure that it could be almost anywhere.

  6. I live in Stirling, and the view of the hills looks exactly the same! Had no idea you could see them so clearly from Edinburgh. Perspective is a crazy thing!

  7. This is absolutely frying ma heed, the first new angle I’ve seen of the castle in years – incredibly well shot!
