Macron announces new ‘coalition’ summit after EU leaders vow to continue backing Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday said the leaders of a coalition of Ukraine backers would meet again in Paris next week, as it seeks to finalise plans to secure a potential truce in the war with Russia. It follows an EU summit in Brussels where leaders said they will continue to support Ukraine, but did not immediately endorse a call by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to provide at least 5 billion euros for artillery ammunition purchases.

  1. This summit has definitely lack of willing 🀣. Still no assistance to UKraine, no spending on their own military defence. Coalition of chatting

  2. How many meetings summits does Europe need to have before they but troops on the ground in Ukraine. Europe looks weak, this war is in Europe why can’t Europe figure this out

  3. Instead of worrying what to call the different groupings of countries, we should be worried that Europe isn't manufacturing enough ammunition.

Europe does need more tanks and fighter jets, but without ammunition that's not going to go so well.

And these are talking about the budgets to rebuild the military's, how about politicians start building factories and not act like a bunch of bankers or accountants.

  4. Bunch of losers, always organize summit to decide when to hold another summit. Paper tigers. Europe has lost real men, now they are paper tigers only. Biggest losers of this century. Lost Russian energy, American security and on the verge of losing Chinese economic gains also. These were the three main pillers of Europe. Without them Europe is nothing.

  5. To all the people spamming the same comment about how meetings are not useful and only action matter. The amount of expenses and military engagement that are discussed here deserve a bit of time and consideration.

Also, action is already taking place. Ukraine has received military equipment that allows them to defend on the front line and from aerial attacks. Is it enough? Surely not. But that coalition of the willing idea is in motion since Trump cut out support and intelligence to Ukraine, basically a months ago. I would argue that it is moving pretty fast.

  6. This British and French obsession with getting troops in Ukraine is not helpful,
Send Ukraine the arms they need to defend themselves.

  7. wow the coalition of the meeting will another meetingπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ definitely achieving their goals to have lots of meetings πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  8. Is it Coalition of the Willing or Coalition of Meetings? So many meetings but zero outcomes. Must be nice being to going on this EU Tour on Useless meetings.

  9. That's great, energy independence, 800b € for our defence, closer bonds, made in Europe products, EUR gaining 5% over USD, etc… These meetings are actually pretty effective. Go EU. From France

  10. What about the killing in Gaza?? There you don’t help, because is not in your interest and goes against Israel , double standards

  11. Macron makes the loudest voice but comes up short with real money. He still supports using Germany’s money.πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

  12. Fiat Dollar versus free trade and these are a bunch of US vassals begging for heavier chains.
    So, wanna play?
    Ante up.
    It’s gonna go glow sticks

  13. What some think is an army is gathering to rush into Ukraine immediatley. Its not, its a force meant to be in place when peace is agreed. No matter how hopeful you are thats not going to be any time soon, theres time to work it out properly. Headless chicken tactic rarely works.
