    Canada is one of the members of the Five Eyes intelligence sharing network, alongside Australia, New Zealand and the UK and the leak of classified information is likely to put further strain on the group as it weighs how seriously the current American administration takes the handling of top secret information.

The more I hear about this story, the more I get the feeling that so, so many more classified conversations are taking place inappropriately in the US intelligence community as Trump places his yes men everywhere. And the frequency of these are because they have a blind, unwavering trust in what the tech bros are telling them to do.

    Wouldn’t surprise me if some highly paid tech MAGA said to these clowns “yeah use Signal bro, total privacy” and they ignored all existing protocols without even considering the consequences.

  34. I would be very surprised if there is NOT a file in the pentagon about how the US would invade any of the other 5eyes countries, or any other country.

    And there has probably been such plans in existence for decades.

    The only concern about the leak, in my opinion, is the process that allowed the information to be sent to the wrong person.

    It would be less effective without US surveillance resources, but at least the remaining four could be confident that everything they shared wasn’t going straight to Putin and/or the nearest journalist.
