Back in the the early 2000’s when you had to make sure you had cash for the taxi I was sat watching the little red LED number tick up to the exact amount of money I had in my pocket after a night out in Newcastle. As soon as it ticked over to the amount I had I said “anywhere here is fine thanks”. He was a little confused why I lived in an industrial estate but it was only a 25 min walk away from there so he got me most of the way home.
