  24. Well, buying small quatities of russian gas again, obviously at a level so low, it does not regenerate any dependance on russia, is a huge thing to beg for.

    Lavrov has a lot of nerve, and very little shame.

    But I think it is not completely impossible.

    Before any talks about this subject could ever start, a number of preconditions obviously need to be fulfilled.

    1 A full withdrawal from Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia.

    2 The return of Ukraine’s nuclear arsenal to Ukraine.

    3 A statement by Ukraine that it is fully convinced that russia will use this income to pay reparations for the decades to come, and hence does not object in any way to reopening this pipeline.

    I do not see these conditions ever to be met in the nearby future, let alone before the full collapse of the russian federation.
