1. The Atlantic withheld from their previous report publishing any messages about specific timings, weapons or other plans to bomb Yemen.

   But after President Donald Trump and multiple administration officials in the Signal group chat denied any classified information was discussed on the application, the publication decided it was necessary to publish screenshots claiming otherwise.

13. I’m struggling to see where this a big deal. So government officials used a supposed safe application to continue a conversation regarding confidential information. Sure that’s not good but they are human. Although serious, not a detrimental. Better get the hand slapped now early in their sit rather than a more critical moment.

15. I’m not an American but imo this is criminal negligence……it certainly isn’t an oops moment!
    It’s an arrest and charge moment…..there is no excuse in the eyes of the law.
    If your armed forces were in an armed conflict, the negligent disclosure of these plans could have resulted in Americans being captured, wounded or killed.
    There’s no option here……heads must roll!

22. Of course I don’t believe the Dems are stalwart protectors of classified info (ie Clinton’s emails, documents in Biden’s garage). Waiting for investigation to complete so as to identify who created the chat and invited the contacts (Walz claims responsibility but also has offered a theory that the chat was hacked). Also new Atlantic publishing reveals that not only were attack plans shared but the agency heads lied to the senate about what was in that chat. Hegseth also lied. White House lied. Trump lied. The sharing of this info through this medium violated every intelligence agency’s classification designation. The info provided even would be deserving of a top secret designation. Seemed like there were a bunch of cabinet members included in the chat were not need to know.
