  1. By Josh Boak and David Keyton:

*US Vice President J.D. Vance will join his wife on her trip to Greenland, suggesting in an online video that global security is at stake.*

*“We’re going to check out how things are going there,” Vance said in a post on Tuesday (Washington time). “Speaking for President [Donald] Trump, we want to reinvigorate the security of the people of Greenland because we think it’s important to protecting the security of the entire world.”*

*[…] The office of second lady Usha Vance has said she would depart on Thursday for Greenland and return on Saturday. She and one of her three children had planned to visit historic sites and learn about Greenland’s culture, but her husband’s participation has reoriented the trip around national security.*

*[…] Ahead of the US vice president’s announcement that he would join his wife, discontent from the governments of Greenland and Denmark had been growing sharper, with the Greenland government posting on Facebook that it had “not extended any invitations for any visits, neither private nor official”.*

  2. Man, I almost reflexively down-voted this just because couchfucker’s been mentioned. Sorry.

  3. I didn’t think it to be possible for a politician to be more loathsome than Trump. I was wrong. Vance is actually worse, which is some kind of achievement I guess…

  4. It’s funny (not really, it’s scary) that the government saying they have to protect the world is the same the world should be protected from.

  5. This is one of the most ridiculous person in the political world today. And I’m Italian, so I know very well how to recognize a political idiot.

  6. Hopefully, he will be booed all the way back home.

  7. Apparently they changed the program: no visit to the sledge race and no “cultural visits”, only a visit to the US base, they also sent back the cars. So WTF is his wife doing there?

  8. Rapist vibes. Consent is such a hard concept for them to grasp.

  9. I thought he was tired of Europe freeloading. Now he voluntarily wants to protect the entire world 🤡

  10. He’s going because he sent his wife uninvited and she’s like ermmm help some slight hostility here…

  11. First they complain they have to bail out the EU again, now they want to secure the whole world? This MF is so dense I just can’t …

  12. Sorry about our creepy rapists invading your countries

-an embarrassed American that voted against these fuckers

  13. Ironic that they don’t seem to want to do much “protecting” or getting involved in a real conflict in Ukraine. They see no threat to the world from Russia.

But Greenland, thats a powder keg waiting to explode, so I best go with my wife and do some good ol’ fashion protectin’.

  14. So why exactly can’t Denmark simply refuse to grant him a landing permit in it‘s own aerospace?
The fact that we allow the Americans to simply do as they please and insult as at every possible chance without any kind of reaction sadly proves his point about us being embaressing to not be entirely mute.
I‘d really wish for some European strength and political confidence once in a while instead of allowing ourselves to be toyed with by everyone.

  15. cant they just refuse to give him visa ? and when he steps out of the base arrest his ass ICE style ?

pack him on plane leaving to El Salvador or something

  16. Is this because the president can’t travel due to being a convicted felon, so JD has to go overseas?

  17. I hope they aren’t allowed to enter Greenland at the border for “hostile activities towards greenland and criticizing their gov”. Would be too funny.

    Get bent, vance.

  18. Wouldn’t it be funny if they seized his cell phone and found seditious material on it

  19. I hope every minute of his trip he is heckled and (peacefully) harrassed by the locals.

I hope he doesn’t get a single minute of respite his entire visit.

I hope he leaves with shadows under his eyes that put his eyeliner to shame.

  20. Is it just me, or they really want to spark some sort of violence, as a cause for a full attack on Greenland?

  21. I heard polar bears are very hungry this time of year.

  22. Sincerely, the Trump administration act like a group of Mafia rather than some Professional Politicians. Threatening people to hand over whatever they have in exchange for so-called protection(from other Mafia states)

  23. Interestingly enough, he mentioned “countries” that threaten Greenland and Canada. Currently, I know only one such country. Could anybody help me?

  24. He’s going to try and do/say some outrageous shit just so he can detract from the signal group chat scandal currently ongoing.

  25. The best thing he could do to protect the entire world would be to lock himself in a room with a couch and never leave.

  26. “I’m there to protect the world by invading you.”

    Gaslighting at its peak

  27. Hope no one shows up and greets Vance and his entourage. Let them wander the streets of Nuuk aimlessly.

  28. I hope they deny them entry and send the plane right back around.

  29. Real life idiocracy…. The thing i don’t get is: US is claiming they need Greenland for national Security, but they are obviously now Russias best friend. So who’s the Enemy they need protection from?

  30. I just read that the visit was canceled (apart from a visit to the Amerian base) – is he now going anyway or is this old news?

  31. Greenland should deport him to the US.

    Chains included in flight package.
