  1. Cool, cool – how do we get from “punishable by” to “punished with?”

  2. When the criminals are in charge, only non criminals are imprisoned.

  3. Give them due process and then…lock them up.

  4. Honestly I would be okay if the people that lied here were put in prison. These people are actively trying to undermine the country.

  5. Trump says journalists are enemies of the people. Hegseth gave classified information to a journalist. Therefor Hegseth game classified information to the enemy. Hegseth should face the firing squad?

  6. Conservatives dont see a problem with this. Half your country dont belong in the same country as you do.

  7. Get the process started to charge them with perjury, make the GOP quash it, and then make noise ad nauseum about being a “nation of laws” and beat that fucking drum till the end of time.

  8. Nothing i gong to happen to them. Justice is dead in the U.S. We live in Coud Cuckoo Land.

  9. This is what happens when you nominate a drunk as Defense Secretary and multiple russian agents in cabinet positions…

  10. Didn’t Clinton get impeached for lying under oath? Well he wasn’t a republican so I guess that what really matters to them.

  11. Question, who’s going to punish them?

If you say the DoJ I’m going to laugh.

  12. They lied under oath. They attempted to circumnavigate record retention laws. They committed what are likely war crimes.

They are showing us their contempt for our laws and for their constituents.

  13. If it’s punishable, Dem’s should go ahead resolutely this time.
They couldn’t even get Trump behind bars for the biggest, most witnessed constitutional crime ever. And they had 4 years.

  14. President Clinton was impeached by a GOP run House for lying under oath about an affair.

The Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the CIA lied under oath about mishandling top secret information.

The GOP Speaker of the House will do everything in his power to protect these incompetent buffoons. They don’t care about America, they only care about staying in power.

  15. Staging a violent insurrection and stealing classified documents are also “crimes punishable by imprisonment.”

But sometimes instead of sending the perpetrator to prison they lead to the White House.

Prediction: None of the members of the trump admin who commit crimes will ever spend a day in jail.

  16. Anyone else notice how completely milquetoast JD Vance is?

This is not a man who comes off as anywhere near charismatic or confident. He’s saying “Okay, guys, maybe let’s be careful, huh?” and then lets people walk over him.

The GOP had better hope and pray Trump never dies, because JD Vance will get torn to shreds.

  17. What I find interesting is how much they believe their hyperbole in internal conversations.

  18. I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry, but as signal user for many many years for reasons shall we say in “grey area” of legality I don’t think I ever gave a play by play in real time of the “alleged” crimes I was committing. It reminds me of [The Wire scene](https://www.quotes.net/show-quote/192340) Sorry couldn’t find a clip of it quickly.

  19. The fist bump and prayer emojis just took this all to a whole new level of stupid.

  20. Voters handed the keys of every lever of law and gov to these MAGA imbeciles. I’ll be shocked if anything comes of this as far as punishments. They are all loyal Trump ass kissers. However there will DEFINATELY be consequences with intel sharing with the US from around the world and sources. Think of all the sources that put their lives on the line for sharing info, only to have it potentially leaked and put themselves and their families at risk. This is a huge loss to the US’s ability to gather sensitive info in the future.

  21. The US should follow the Philippines by kicking Trump out to the international criminal court for treason and other stuff. Just like they did to Duterte. Scums

  22. How did half your country vote for these braindead incompetent people ? Y’all drink water from lead pipes over in the US or what

  23. I got money on the only person facing any consequences for this will be the journalist who accidently got added to the group chat.

  24. Everyone on that text chain is now under the mercy of Trump’s whims. Nothing will happen to them as long as they’re useful to him. He can make them do whatever he wants. Because the second they slip, they all go to prison.

Which is yet another reason (you know, on top of all the crimes) they all need to be removed immediately.

  25. Hegseth’s denial that anyone was texting war plans is just fucking laughable. I mean come on
the screenshots don’t lie. He literally texted the start time for a planned killing of a Houthi militant in Yemen, along with details of further US airstrikes. That’s not just careless, that’s reckless. And the cherry on top? Administration officials claiming that no classified information was shared despite the fact that the information discussed would normally be considered highly classified. It’s like they think we’re all just going to take their word for it. As one former Democratic congressman so aptly put it, “A reminder that various administration officials lied under oath in the Senate yesterday, which is a crime punishable by imprisonment.” Yeah that’s not a good look for the Trump administration.

  26. And now Russia, China, North Korea and Iran, are licking their lips and probably are ramping up more hacking activities to try to break into these chats in the future, knowing how dumb the Trump admin principals are.

  27. Considering that one of the phones was located in Russia (Steve Witkoff), this makes things even more complicated. The Russians could have gained access to any of the accounts. If the journalist hadn’t made it public, it could have been much worse if this had continued for much longer.

  28. Too late. Dumpsters Daleks have adopted the principles of Russia. Deny, Deny and Deny again.
