    They’re our allies, we have bases there, and if security is really *the* issue, why not just try and increase our military presence there through.. non-imperialistic means?

  10. There has always been some rotten component to the US, things that never set right with me; Guantanamo, endless wars all over the Middle East, meddling in sovereign country’s affairs, and so on. I’ve always ignored it, because I thought the alternative was worse – a world lead by Russia.

    Now, as the US, with Trump at the helm, has turned its eyes against its former allies, I realize the US is still the same US it has always been. The only difference is that, now, we in Europe and Canada, could be the target now of the war machine, instead of some far-away country in the Middle East.

    Eye-opening indeed.

  12. As Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan have all shown, the US military is able to absolutely crush military opponents but is completely incapable of taking over a country and governing it.

    Will he try pushing through economical attempts, like he’s doing now by destablising the world economy, and putting American businesses out of business in the process? Or will he commit military to accomplish this goal.

    And if the latter, will he continue to receive support? Are trump fans really ready to illegally invade another country just because their false god said he wants it?

    If the US wanted to install a missile shield there, they could. If they wanted to expand military presence they could. There’s examples even in the last few years of EU states paying serious money to expand US installations and infrastructure on their soil. If they wanted to do a deal to access whatever resources are there that they want, they could do that. That is what being the leader of the western world grants you. All it would take is to not be such a dick about it, and continue to play the game by the traditional rules. But this administration won’t do that because the President never seems to miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

    The only reason Trump wants Canada, Greenland, Panama, Gaza and anywhere else because it would stroke his ego to do it.

    All Trump has done is isolate the states from all friendships, push EU together and push China into a key position to become Europe’s next big ally.

  37. Look at the territorial claims to the Arctic Ocean, and all of this desire for Canada and Greenland, along with cozying up to Russia makes sense.

    Then know that there’s 30% of the world’s LNG and 13% of the world’s Petroleum there, totally untouched. Then add in global surface temperature rise (warming) and you’ll see Cheeto Supreme is up to something very sinister.
