I think I found a stolen car from Andalucia in Portugal. The local police don’t seem to care because they can’t confirm that it is stolen. PM me for more information if you’re the owner.

  1. Can you see the VIN (numero de chassis)? It’s usually under the windshield.

The green sticker on the windshield has holes on the side. It represents a 4-digit number. Can you see what number it is? It will show where in Spain the car passed its last inspection.

  2. Thank you for taking the effort.

It’s a shame that police cannot do anything in this situation. Either if it’s because they don’t know who to ask ot they don’t have the resources to investigate, it’s something that should be arranged.

  3. It could have been dumped by the owner to collect the insurance money.

Either way, I’d suggest you could use the VIN to figure out which country it was originally sold in, then try reporting it to authorities or insurance companies in that country. (There is a good chance it is France or Germany, if not Spain).

The whole not speaking a common language thing would make this tricky.
