I just loved having my own grill built into the table.
Did I cook it all well? Pobably not.
Was it a lot of fun? Heck yes.
I'm not sure why London's Korea Town is based in New Malden but it is. There are posher Korean food places there, but I really liked the prospect of cooking my own meat and the 90 minute all-you-can-eat buffet (I'm a simple person with simple needs and desires).
Lots of fun, I left happy and full, and then we went to Seoul Plaza to pickup some bits.

FFS please stop posting the actual good places. We’ll not be able to get in
I think I heard the Korean embassy and Samsung’s European HQ used to be located in New Malden, which is why the K Town developed in that region. Don’t quote me on that though.
That whole area is full of the best bbq restaurants. My favorite is Yami. Their Korean fried chicken is the best!!!
What’s the yellow can in the last picture?
I live nearby but I’ve always wondered why there’s the concentration of Korean diaspora there, it’s a fairly random SW London suburb. Would be interested if anyone has any insight!
Do they usually serve on wheel hubs?
Brilliant place I love it…. happily travel 75 mins from NW London for it!

New Malden has great Korean restaurants. I remember first going to one there about 17 years ago and loving it.
I’d also recommend Gogi and Kalbi. The latter is more of a buffet style though.
I think i went to that exact spot. 90 minute limit for eating right? Kbbq is 👌
I live near New Malden but as a vegetarian, find Korean food quite veggie-unfriendly. Anyone have experience of a K restaurant with some good veggie options?
You pay £33 and they employ 1/3 the staff…
Fantastisch.
Is this the place with the karaoke booths? I remember going to one and we walked through the restaurant area and it had a different vibe like cooking plates in the middle or something, but it was a while ago.
Lovely place, been twice with friends. We all enjoyed it very much. It’s quite well-known. A lot of people I know have been there too.
I love how clueless white people are at these places
