Support is resistance.
We want to showcase the excellent work done by our Verified charities and volunteers, with help from you, in support of Ukraine's war effort.
Each week, we post a roundup of their Support Report and Thank You posts, so that you can see what they've done–and what you've facilitated–all in one place. Here are this week's successes!
A toilet not taken, but freely given to 3rd Assault
Writes u/tallalittlebit:
Most soldiers are staying in abandoned and/or destroyed locations. They often need to fix toilets, pipes, windows, etc. to make everything livable. This comes out of their own paycheck. Hygiene needs can be overlooked but they're essential. Having indoor plumbing is a pretty awesome perk!
A 78" monitor for perhaps one of the nicest people on Reddit and in the AFU
u/Pitmaster4Ukraine helmed the collection, but longtime Redditor u/kakabomba, callsign Compass, wanted to thank you himself. He posted this, which is one of the nicest thank yous I've seen in all my time doing this–and that's saying something, because this place is infested with nice.
He writes:
I have been a Redditor for 10 years.
Before I enjoyed this platform.
But for past 3 years I noticed how it became a vital part of the Ukrainian war effort and defense against war criminals.
I am Compass, and I want thank you my fellow Redditors who band together to support us in this dark times.
Compass, thank you for fighting for Ukraine! Разом до перемога!
ONE OF THE NICEST THANK YOUS I'VE YET SEEN
A laptop and printer for the 94th
u/ongand2 was able to get his guys in the 94th a new laptop and printer.
AW. THEY NAME DROPPED US, YOU GUYS.
Here a Vetal, There a Vetal, Everywhere a Vetal Vetal
As usual, u/21_vetal_01 was doling out stuff all over the place. This week's reports include an ATV, two EW systems, and some gear for 131st Separate Reconnaissance.
Ongoing Projects
We'd love to see these as successes in a future Weekly Support Report!
- Our very own u/jesterboyd is hoping to send some children who lost a parent to the war on a nice vacation.
- u/Pitmaster4Ukraine is fundraising for high-quality tourniquets for the zero line. Cheap, fake tourniquets have been a serious problem since the start of the full-scale invasion. They get people killed. Please consider helping out with this one.
- u/KateKozakDrive is thiiiiiiiiis close to being able to buy her guys the drones they need. Help out here. If you can't, at least enjoy the kickass photo she posted.
- u/tallalittlebit and u/UFL_Robin teamed up to help get tasty, nutritious, portable food to soldiers. All purchased in Ukraine, supporting the local economy. Keep them fat and happy here.
