    American brands like Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, and Tesla, which once lined the boulevards of Paris, are becoming symbols of political resistance.

    In a sharp rebuke of the Trump administration, a new poll finds that nearly two-thirds of French citizens support a boycott of U.S. goods, opposing the new American administration led by President Donald Trump, which has been verbally targeting Europe since coming to office.

    I’d like to think this will be the same in the UK, but unfortunately there seems to be too much apathy for any large scale boycott of US brands.

    Starmer seems to be holding out for the “special relationship” to offer some insulation from tariffs but I don’t think Trump really cares at this point.

  6. This administration is so unbelievably incompetent on all fronts. It’s actually impressive how much damage they were able to do to America in such a short time. Literally everything is demonstrably worse off because of the actions they’ve taken. I don’t know how any of the base is still deluded into thinking they’re making America great

  8. I’m sure many in Europe feel the same, even in the UK.

    The problem is the UK government and PM Starmer are fence sitting. They believe they can brown nose Trump to avoid the worst of his policies but still be a leader in Europe.

    It won’t work – Trump is a bully and will keep demanding more and the rest of Europe will get fed up with the UK sitting on the fence, hoping to benefit from both side.

  12. Yes, we are fed up with americans! I gave up on buying a tasla and I’ve bought a Skoda, and I gave up on buying freeze driers from Harvestright and I’ve bought them form a manufacturer located in Poland! So yes, I’m fed up with those idiots!

  13. I love how this entire movement made me realise I barely buy anything American to begin with. 

  14. Canadians have gone full on with boycotting US goods and travel to the US and it’s hitting a lot of US businesses hard. Flights to the US are down 70% and a lot of US companies are experiencing real dire consequences.

    And a lot of those businesses are in “red” states so that’s a bonus.

    Personally I live only 80km from the US border and I’ll never visit the US again. Ever.

  16. It sounds dumb and like it shouldn’t be case, but the best way to get trump out of power is to destroy our (America’s) economy. If American’s pockets are hurting, including the billionaires’ then their political allegiances become secondary to their greed. The markets and pure unfettered capitalism (this is not an endorsement) will be the end of him.

  26. German here. With my french sisters and brothers. We should not even import that US sludge anymore. Send their ships back. I would say: “Pour the Coke into the harbour”, but i would not even want to poison french, dutch or german fish with that.

  27. Can we start an IGNORE USA movement. I’m really tired hearing about them non stop on Reddit and in the news, it’s a shit show that media makes clicks on and ruin our mental health. I wanna be able to read Reddit and normal news and not Maga verbal diarrhea on a daily basis.
