I was just leaving highschool back then so I’m not entirely sure, I think it may have slowed him down at the very least. Haven’t followed it as much as I probably should be, is there any plan to take back Crimea?
Yep. It’s like salted peanuts. Nobody stops after the first one unless they are forced to.
It could have been avoided if they weren’t blocked from joining NATO in 2008.

The war is a horror but it takes a horror to permanently oust Russia from Ukraine. If Ukraine wins this war it will give make Ukraine stronger in the long run.

He’s completely right. Europe also turned a blind eye when Russia attacked and annexed Ossetia, imo this emboldened Putin a lot. Had we destroyed Russian forces when they invaded Georgia we would not have had to deal with a war right at our doors.
