It’s going to get worse , labour is not going to fix any of this with their neo lib Tory light decisions
This is a measure of inequality as opposed to absolute poverty. If Elon Musk relocated to the U.K., more children would fall into low income households.
What did they expect? Disposable income for working families is at an all time low: utilities are skyrocketing, water rates going up, council tax going over the cap limit, insurance going up, car tax going up, food inflation is no where near the 2.8% – it’s going up noticeably more … Prices for goods and services are obviously going to go up when the employer’s NI increase starts next month.
On the plus side, min living wage is going up, but those of us above it are not seeing similar wage growth.
What a suprise. Who would have thought attacking the poor over and over would not put adults and children into more poverty. The genius labour party continues its disaster of a run destroying everything in its sight.
Some disabled people have children.

Who would’ve thought having kids when you can’t afford it would cause issues.
…aaaand, no-one gives a fuck, so nothing changes
Child poverty has been at crisis levels for years. But I’ve never seen anyone on the left or right actually protest it, or really give two shits. The right is too busy on their crusade for socially conservative values and the left has been too busy protesting for Palestine. No one can spare the time to deal with our own children.
Why the hell do people want to come to the UK so much?
“God, we’re so skint. Let’s have more kids!”
“…no amount of cajolery, and no attempts at ethical or social seduction, can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Labour party that inflicted those bitter experiences on me. So far as I am concerned, they are lower than vermin.”
It would be interesting to see in what percentage of those families the parents were born in lower-income countries. It may be that as a result of moving to the UK, their household income has risen considerably, while increasing the percentage of low income households in the UK.
If people move to the country who have lower earning power than the average, then you would expect levels of relative poverty to rise, while no-one is actually poorer than when they started.
