Greece’s unemployment rate has fallen well below pre-pandemic levels

  1. More like “unemployment rate has fallen to the point where it would have been had COVID19 never happened”. Anyway, congrats.

  2. The slope of that most recent decline leads me to believe a ton of people no longer qualify as participating in the work force. And employment hasn’t changed by much in recent months

  3. Nice to see you recovering guys, I didn’t know so much work has already been done after 2008 crisis (fuck Lehman and the rest).

  4. Hurray! ~~2.5€~~ 3.5€ per hour…

    Hurray! Unpaid extra hours…

Hurray! Work on Saturdays and get paid in coupons…

Hurray! Thousands of unemployed young people leave the country and unemployment goes down…

    Hurray…

  5. This sub likes to be pretty pessimistic when it comes to economic matters but there is no denying that we’re all exiting this crisis way faster than we did in 2008/2011.

Hopefully frugal preachers have learned their lesson, strangling an economy while it’s in a downturn is counterproductive.

  6. Right, but have they changed how they measure unemployment? For example, the same can be said about US(not sure about now, but recently) and the only difference was that they counted part time job
