  22. This is just the nature of war. Even in the “civilized” allied armies of WW1, there are many instances where soldiers wrote that they could only go over the top with their officers revolver at their back.

    * controls some kind of a weapon
    * and that “commander” is nearby

  42. This guy looks like someone who was forced to front lines. I imagine he’s an accountant or something absolutely not fit for warfare. I really feel bad about this man. I could never imagine how it’s like to be a passive peaceful person forced to go and kill for some insane reason. I hope he lived and all his idiot commanders got the honorable 200 casket.
