The country has done a complete 180 going from some of the strictest in the world to the lightest.
The latest covid wave didn’t cause any issues in regards to public health so the light restrictions are justified.
I would say we need to bring in a test after 7 days to exit self isolation. An antigen gives a good indication of you are contagious or not.
We have gone from one of the strictist to one of the most lenient.
I’m not sure how/where they’re getting this ranking, Ireland’s restrictions are on par with quite a few EU countries right now…
I went to get updated stats on our fantastic vaccination status, I came across this stat from Reuters that made me laugh: *Ireland has administered at least 10,739,809 doses of COVID vaccines so far. Assuming every person needs 2 doses, that’s enough to have vaccinated about 108.7% of the country’s population.*
That’s because they reached there target in the vaccine uptake, it’s a runaway train now.
