  1. What else do you expect to hear from people who live in the country where democratic institutions don’t work…

  2. The “can’t say”-people have democratic views, but also know what Putin does with political dissidents like that.

  3. I would call myself as such, yet I understand why many are so reluctant to call themselves democrats due to the very word being associated with 1990s, one of the most tense periods in recent history of Russia.

  4. One must remember one of the most iconic jokes from Yeltsin’s 90’s:

*Q.: What is a Democracy? A.: It’s when the Chief Democrat is in charge.*

  5. An interesting poll but it’s worthless for foreigners. Just because Russians want more democracy does not mean they are against the Russian foreign policy. In fact, most “libral anti-Putin” supporters are pro-Crimean annexation, so even if we get democracy, it won’t change much.

  6. in history whenever democracies have failed people, people became less democratic and more in favour of a strongman

the same thing is happening in your countries as well over all the situation in the world is going to shit

just pray that eventually, the guy who is elected as your autocrat is a philosopher-king rather than a bloodthirsty dictator or alternatively save your democracies by voting the corrupt politicians out
