Vance is a dick, it still might’ve been a good idea for one of the people of Greenland to agree to talk to him even if just so that they could politely yet firmly tell him “you and Trump are being very pointlessly rude and disrespectful to Greenland because [gives reasons] and your political plans are foolish because [gives reasons]”. Who knows, maybe it could even have changed J.D. Vance’s mind.

    (Even though J.D. Vance probably deserves to have at least a few people swear at him and insult him to his face at this point, the Greenlander would’ve been better able to get his point across by being polite yet angry then just being angry, since “you catch more flies with sugar then with vinegar”.)

    Now though, Fox News and right wing literal fake news groups on places like Facebook could easily falsely spin this as “thE peoplE oF GreenlanD werE tOO afraiD oF beinG punisheD bY theiR authoritariaN governmenT iF theY spokE tO VancE”.
