Thought I’d share some photos (haven’t bothered editing) from my wee walk to the old railway tunnels while it was misty. Nice atmospheric walk despite not being able to see anything as the first tunnel was misty inside and lights did nothing. Do recommend stopping at The Bein Inn for food (and if you want to use their customer only car park).

  1. Great pics, when did they dismantle the railway? I remember before they built the motorway over the hill, when the main road used to go through the valley. After wide open motorway all the way from the Forth Bridge, Glenfarg always felt claustrophobic and more than a little spooky.

  2. Cycled through them many years ago. The stretch between the tunnels felt so calming and peaceful.

  3. Haven’t been there in about ten years. Wonder how much of the burned out car is still there. Fantastic shots!
