As a Cornishman I appreciated finding a Cornish Pasty as loot – even if it was on a rotting corpse in the Lake District and post-nuclear apocalypse. I also find myself feeling like playing Red Dead 2 was a curse and a blessing.

This looks like a blast. But from watching reviews and some footage, it also looks like a game worth waiting for another six months of patches before I bother.
I haven’t picked it up yet but hoping to try it soon
its my weekend plan, supportinjg the locals and all that
Forgot this was getting added to gamepass, thanks for reminding me.
Downloaded it on Game Pass.
The wife is out on Sunday, so my plan is to get into it then….
mrs has been hyped for it, her latop only has a 1650, shes gutted. Might try game stream it on gamepass.
I’ll probably leave it 6 months, I like to wait until all the issues have been ironed out. I’m still busy playing Kingdom Come 2 anyways.
Only played a couple hours but it’s good, I like exploring in games and this feels geared up for that quite well. I’m playing on investigator mode so the combat isn’t a huge issue for me, though I do keep dying
I’ve just started it.
What am I supposed to be doing though? I’m just wandering around hiding from people. Also, just had to kill a load of bats in a cave with a cricket bat, I feel quite guilty about that.
No luck catching those robots then
Beautiful game, but I’m fucking confused as to what I’m doing on it
Looking forwards to it! I’ve just moved house so I need to scavenge the various parts of my pc first, from one of a million mislabeled boxes in the house. There’s a GPU in here somewhere!
Rebellion are a good developer though. Love sniper elite.
Not risking £65 on it. Will wait till it’s on steam sale at Christmas or something.
I’m still playing games from 2009 bro give me a second.
Played a few mins via Game Pass on Legion Go, running smoothly on medium settings @800p with integer scaling. Got a good feeling to it so far, great setting. Some upscaling artifacts on foliage etc, similar to Avowed, but I can ignore them mainly. Nice to see a game world set in Cumbria/Lake District, love it up there.
I’ve always fancied ‘Fallout but in the UK’ and I guess this is the closest we’re getting*, but I think I’m waiting for a sale before I go for it. Too many other games on right now, and I’d imagine there’ll be some updates incoming that I might as well wait on.
(yes I know about Fallout London, but fighting to get mods working is an immense ballache that I don’t have the energy for, and my PC setup is currently just a mediocre laptop)
Had a laugh over this review

I’m looking forward to playing it, but I’ve been a PC gamer for long enough to know you never dive in at release. I’ll be waiting a good year or two to get bored of my current games before I get this fully patched and any DLC.
Had my eye on it but rebellion have just had my pants down with the new sniper elite and lack of content there, keen on playing but looks like a wait for sale jobbie to me
going round shankin’ outlaws
Fackin’ lav it
It’s on Gamepass! Currently streaming it to my steam deck 🙂 been excited for this one to drop, reviews look good so here’s hoping!
I found it a tad on the dreary side. Very pretty though.
Really excited for it
I have no clue what I’m looking at but I wanna play or see it
Not heard of it, sounds like fun? Fallout but Oop north? Grand.
I only have a PS4 , is it any good in that, or would this be a good excuse to get with the times?
My wife and I are really enjoying it!
She hands the controller to me when combat happens though.
Oh and those cricket bats are awesome as weapons!
The story is DELIGHTFUL and given it’s a UK dev studio I want to support them as much as possible in the face of a truly shitty industry right now.
It’s broken on the xbox. Played it for 20 mins today, and the sound cut out twice in that time. The only way to re-initialise it, is to restart the game. So I’m leaving it for now until they manage to fix the issue.
Until then, back to No Mans Sky I guess, if I can get the missus off two point museum!
Very wooden and buggy
Oh, I have been waiting for this! I hadn’t realised it was released, thank you!
Seen spiffing Brit play it. Looked good but seemed… Small? The actual real life story behind the nuclear incident there is really interesting.
Being based in Cumbria, how does one tell the difference between a horribly mutated freak caused by the disaster, and the locals?
Played for around an hour this afternoon, so far so good but some tweaking required with the controller settings to inject some ‘feel’ into it
Feels quite half baked imo. Fun, but I wouldn’t buy the game personally, or at least not at the price sold. I am playing it through game pass
Just got to the first big village, some rats attacked me and a soldier and the soldier decided to start shooting me, now all the other guards are hostile to me as well for some reason.
Other than that it’s going great!
Played 90 mins earlier, beautiful atmosphere, not much hand holding in the way of “quests”, emphasis on exploration . My cuppa tea tbh
Big fan of it so far. Only an hour or so in, but can see me losing the weekend to it!
I know what you mean about playing RDR2 though, honestly feel like Rockstar have set the benchmark for open world games and everything else is like it’s poorer cousin. Some slightly better off cousins, but still.
Right off to wrap a cricket bat round an outlaws napper. Back in a bit!
It feels a mix between the outer worlds but with a stalker type vibe.
Not as ruthless but I think they’ve done a good job and capturing our quirks.
Solid release as well, it’s a rarity these days.
I am working this weekend and saving it for my next day off on thurs or Friday next week! I can’t wait!
The sound completely died when I got into the first big room with all the plants… so it’s not gone well 😅
Will try again tomorrow
As a Cumbrian very close to Sellafield I’m looking forward to exploring it, but not expecting much gameplay wise.
They made a game set in West Cumbria after a nuclear fallout and yet Workington somehow looks better than in real life.
I personally got bored playing it. The movement and combat feel clunky and outdated. I can see people enjoying it but really just not for me.
Played it for about 7 hours so far:
I’m hooked, the story (once you start finding leads) is pretty solid, the combat/gunplay is basic but fun, and I love how “British” it is 🙌
My only problems are a couple of annoying recurring bugs; with one, the audio keeps cutting out and the other (but thankfully very rare) is where the game stops registering input from the right trigger on my controller
Made by British devs, so I’m buying it at asking price on Steam. Gotta support our devs!
